What Little Ninjas is

Thirty minutes, once a week, designed specifically for ages 4 and 5.

Little Ninjas introduces young children to the foundations of martial arts in a way that meets them exactly where they are developmentally. Students begin learning basic skills like blocking, punching and kicking while building the balance, coordination, focus and listening skills that help make those techniques possible.

At this age, children learn best when they’re moving, engaged and having fun. Classes use age-appropriate activities and purposeful play to keep Little Ninjas excited to participate while developing skills they can continue to build on as they grow.

Every class is designed to give them opportunities to listen, try, succeed, build confidence and discover just how capable they are.

What a class looks like

Little Ninjas thrive with consistency, so each class follows a familiar structure that helps children feel comfortable, confident and ready to participate. Within that structure, activities are kept varied, mentally and physically engaging and age-appropriate, allowing students opportunities to practice focus, follow directions, work with others and experience success.

Life skills are an important part of every class, but just like the physical curriculum, they are taught in a way that meets children where they are developmentally. Concepts like respect, confidence, self-control, perseverance and kindness are introduced in ways that 4 and 5 year olds can understand, practice and begin to apply in their everyday lives.

At this age, progress is about much more than perfect technique. We celebrate effort, listening, participation and the willingness to keep trying. Little Ninjas wear our camouflage belt and earn dots throughout their training, giving them a simple, visual way to recognize their progress and take pride in what they’re accomplishing.

These small successes matter. They help children begin to understand that growth happens one step at a time, and give them the confidence to keep taking the next one.

We do sometimes take three and a half year olds who are ready for a group class, please reach out to schedule an assessment.
